Springtime engagement session at Paxton House

I arrived at Paxton House in the Scottish Borders on a bright spring morning. Chloe and Darren love walking in the grounds there and love spending time outdoors together generally, so this really was the perfect location for them. We spent our time wandering by the River Tweed – which was so still it was like a glass mirror – and walking through the woods which had just come back to life. Closer to the house itself there are smaller pockets of gardens, croquet lawns, and my favourite – the long grass meadow full to the brim of lush green grass, wildflowers and trees, including the gorgeous candy-pink blossom tree which I knew as soon as I saw it, it would be the perfect frame for Chloe and Darren.
